Salma | Vision Impaired
Meet Salma, a guide dog owner living in Melbourne. Salma wanted to feel more secure in her home so we installed a video doorbell to allow her to know exactly who was at her front door. We also connected motion sensor lights to illuminate her home entrance and backyard, smart plugs to manage her cooling fans, and a door sensor to her fridge to ensure her groceries stay fresh and home remains energy-efficient.
Craig | Wheelchair User
Craig just moved into his new unit which he was really excited about, but it needed a few things modified so that he could maintain his independence in his new space. We installed smart lights, automated his blind in his room, made his split system smart and installed a video doorbell. He can control everything via voice, his phone or a switch next to his bed.
Brendan, who is vision impaired, has a deep love for music. Working alongside Brendan’s Occupational Therapist, we installed an Amazon Fire TV Stick to provide seamless access to his favourite tunes and TV shows, enhancing his independence and overall quality of life. As Brendan puts it, "Music is my life, and this tech is life-changing for me."

Door sensor
The anxiety of a forgotten open fridge door is now a thing of the past for Salma. A door sensor connected to her smart system promptly notifies her of any slip-ups, ensuring her groceries stay fresh and her home remains energy-efficient.

Smart plug
Homeable's smart plug has enabled a home climate control for Salma, allowing her to manage her fans to ensure a comfortable environment for her and her beloved guide dog. Changes are easily made through voice commands or the Homeable app.

Video doorbell
With a Google Nest doorbell, Salma has taken charge of her home's security. Facial recognition alerts her to who is at her gate before they even ring the bell, offering not just security, but also an invaluable sense of control and confidence.

Smart lights
Salma's home entrance is now illuminated by motion-sensor solar lights, providing clarity and safety as she moves around her property after dark. A similar setup with a motion-activated LED floodlight gives her backyard a welcoming glow, assuring comfort in every corner.

Universal Gateway
A universal smart gateway (IR receiver) integrated with Craig’s split system allows Craig to control the temperature through” ‘Hey Google’ and the Homeable app. Now Craig is able to put the heating on before he gets home.

Tubular Blinds Motor
No more struggling with cords, pulleys or rods. Now Craig can effortlessly control his bedroom blind with a simple tap on his smartphone, a voice command, or smart button. Craig can even set automated routines to open or close at sunrise or sunset.

Google Home Nest Hub
With a Google Home Nest hub, Craig has the ability to control several elements in his apartment from a single location including 9 smart lights, aircon, video doorbell and bedroom blind.

Smart 'Kill' Switch
Craig’s nighttime routine is now more convenient with the Homeable Zigbee Switch automating a series of actions - a single touch turns all smart devices off, closes the bedroom blind and sets a comfortable temperature.
Brendan’s Smart Home Solution
We teamed up with Kadia Occupational Therapy to provide music lover, Brendan, a personalised smart home solution. Brendan had many of his own devices so our main objective was to ensure they were seamlessly connected and operational via voice command.
We also provided Brendan with an Amazon Fire TV Stick so that he can more easily access his favourite TV shows.
